Doing the Work

I’m moving forward with my little project here and learning as I go.

I’m applying for loans and cutting trees and digging holes and cutting trails and bugging people for advice and beginning to think about logistics and supplies and so much more. It’s honestly very overwhelming, but also a lot of fun. kind of. I go to the site that will be tent platform 1 and stand there like a fucken idiot for ten minutes at a time, paralyzed by the tasks in from of me. I’m trying to reward myself with an easy task for each one I don’t know how to do that I teach myself as I go along. This week I’m stripping logs, putting preservative on them and putting them in place as rails to put a pad on. I have carpentry experience, but little to none in log building. So, I’m learning. It’s hard and scary and comes with a serious need to be positive its safe, but I’m doing it and doing it well. Sometimes all you can do is put your head down and motor and if you bash into the wall a few times before you break through, that’s ok, just so long as you keep trying.

Just keep trying.
