Come Here, Get Away.
The area around the campground is full of things to do, here are a few that might interest you.
Get Wet.
Whether it’s surfing, SUP, Kayak, or a chill day on the sand, if it’s on the water it’s here. Cherry Hill, Beach Meadows, Western Head, Carter’s and many more are all close by, and there’s a launch for Kayaks right at the campground. Inland a short way are lakes for freshwater swims and lazy SUP trips.
See Some Spooky Boys.
Although our official policy is to heap unreasonable hate onto the picturesque town of Port Medway, its super friendly people, and our friends at the Rosefinch Mercantile, It IS kind of cool to explore and see the old cemetery. Kind of.
Take A Hike, Buddy.
Try out Keji seaside unit or take a stroll on the rails to trails. For a longer hike try the Green Bay Trail. There are dirt trails for your off-road motorbike and bicycle rips. You can get to Liverpool or Bridgewater from here (probably further? ) without leaving the trails for more than 1 minute.
Get High.
Big Bluff is an hour or so away and bouldering can be found at Keji Seaside and other areas. There are hidden gems to be found if you take some time to explore. Bring your crash mat.
There’s so much to do here…
…let us help you to find it. As well as the nature stuff there’s the Black Loyalist Heritage Site in Birchtown, which is an important, and super interesting spot to visit; The Hank Snow Museum in Liverpool; Microbreweries pretty much everywhere you look; pretty good thrifting; and all the fun stuff you get to do when you’re small town hopping. We also offer maple syrup walks in the early spring, foraging days, and other outings on the grounds. Need gear? There’s the Swell Time Board co. who can sort you out with surf stuff and an outfitter close by for kayaks.
We’ll find new and exciting secret spots together and not tell anyone about them.
